Memory prices have slightly declined, GPU inventory and pricing is back to normal with the cryptocurrency craze over. SSDs are hitting all time lows. If you still aren’t using an SSD for your operating system then what are you waiting for?! But wait, there’s more! Just a CPU shortage. Hopefully quite temporary. Memory shortages, GPU shortages, price increases. Many things affecting the industry at this time. Due to the popularity of cryptocurrency mining there has been a GPU shortage on mid to high end graphics cards driving prices up. In addition there have been memory shortages due to how much is being consumed in SSDs, GPUs, and system memory affecting those costs too! While these conditions are out of our control we will do our best to minimize cost increases across the board so that we can still offer the highest reliability systems for your budget.

We are on the verge of new technology releases yet again! Heard of Solid State Drives (SSD)? Have an SSD? Want to know more about them? How about a new revision of SSD that’s 3+ times faster than an existing SSD? NVMe is the new performance champ and prices are only a small premium over existing SSD options. The latest motherboards and laptops have potential support for the m.2 based drives so if you’d like to see even greater performance gains in a new computer consider the option of NVMe. Does require going to Windows 10 which can be unfortunate for many. For Windows 7 ‘normal’ SSD still works fine.

Also, while ComputerBase has always supported gamers we now off a ‘gaming’ keyboard/mouse from Coolermaster. We’ve also added the Logitech G230 Gaming Headset to our inventory which has removable washable ear cups to keep the stink away. From time to time we will have other gaming products available as well including quality Logitech controllers.

So if you’re looking for a good selection of quality components including motherboards, Intel processors, solid state drives, and more come on in!
